…and the attempt to capture our porcelain world in pictures

It’s unbelievable what this woman creates out of paper. The artist Anja Shahinniya lays entire cities at our feet under her artist name Shirin Sha. You keep discovering wonderful details and wondering how she does it.

Shahinniya is currently presenting her work in Munich and had the vision of putting some of her most beautiful creations on a plate. Together with us, she created a breathtaking special edition. We were able to attend the exhibition (through boss Annett Geithe) and could hardly get enough of the impressive works of art. The exhibition is still open until 20.06. at the Pinacothek der Moderne in Munich.

Meanwhile at home in Reichenbach. Back from glamorous Munich to our hallowed halls. Our “own online store” project has been underway here for a few days now. In addition to the complete redesign of our website, we want to finally address the increasing calls for digital purchasing options for our handcrafted goods.

With so many different products – rumor has it there are around 1,000 – this is a mammoth project. Equipped with a photo set, canvas and professional camera, we ended up in our small room. Not because we don’t have a proper room, but because it’s perfect for a photo studio with no windows. And because it’s the shortest route from our warehouse. Every single item from every collection has to be brought to the location – often twice for shots from different perspectives. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our photo and IT specialist Marcel and the graphics company Sell for their great support!

Last but not least, every photo has to be edited again, and I’m currently working my way through the thousands of possibilities offered by Photoshop and AI – it’s amazing. You shouldn’t really believe anything you see in photos anymore 🙂 ! We can at least make one big promise: every item that is shown in the online store actually already exists in our range. This is by no means a matter of course these days! And that somehow puts us one step ahead of AI, doesn’t it? “I’m not a robot” – it’s actually ridiculous, these constant affirmations that you have to give yourself on the Internet every day. But do you know whether Fräulein Reichenbach isn’t actually an AI-generated blog…? My goal will continue to be to make this difference, to be fallible and recognizable. For now, we’d rather use AI to create a beautiful product photo.
