The Hamburg-based designer Gerd Sommerlade is responsible for our “Color” collection. Before our collaboration began in the summer of 2006, he worked in the field of trend consulting for the Rosenthal brand, designed an international advertising campaign for the textile company JAB and developed anniversary decors for Arzberg’s 75th anniversary mold “1382”. One focus of his work for the Reichenbach porcelain manufactory is the “rediscovery” of the historical treasure trove of figurines. He has reinterpreted the classic figure of the guard officer in the “PEACE” collection. The “COLOUR” collection is a masterpiece of craftsmanship.
Here, the color is applied by hand, making each piece unique.
Finally, the decor is ennobled by an elaborate gold decoration.
Gerd Sommerlade’s colorful design was inspired by classic designs from around 1800.
