Another year is coming to an end. And the majority of people have certainly had many things this year that have left them speechless – and not in a positive sense. We feel the same way, which is why we would like to say a few thoughtful words at the end of the year before we move on to the good things of everyday life. As a medium-sized trade business, we too are resolutely opposed to the sometimes negligent, obstructive – indeed directly contemptuous – policy towards the working population and their employers. Unrealistic legislation by the federal government and the EU is increasingly depriving us small businesses of any perspective for which we would like to get up in the early hours of the morning every day. And it’s probably not just the politics of 2025 that can be blamed for this. For years, social spending has been driven to a point where it can no longer be financed, and for years the pension prospects of our young people have been looked the other way, according to the motto “After me, the deluge”. The administrative apparatus and those who do not pay into a social system that will have to absorb more and more people are growing ever larger. In these last days of the year, we entrepreneurs are asking ourselves: What needs to happen so that people finally start thinking about those who have to pay for it all ? The fact is that people’s attitude towards diligence, work and the overall social responsibility of the individual is increasingly turning SO itself into a social case.
