Far too rarely, but with a lot of joy and porcelain in our luggage, we Reichenbachers manage to visit very dear and good customers in the most beautiful places in Germany. This year, Rigo & Annett used their company vacation to visit Simon Schlachter at the Burghotel on the Falkenstein in Pfronten for a few days. Here they were not only able to enjoy the breathtaking view over the Allgäu, but also indulge in some culinary delights. And what could be more fulfilling for a porcelain manufacturer than the moment when their own craftsmanship is combined to perfection with culinary art at the highest level? Here you really don’t know what provides the perfect stage for the other – the food for the porcelain, or the porcelain for the food? In a love affair, one complements the other and makes the best version of the other visible, it’s as simple as that 😊
The Burghotel naturally relies on the Zugspitz plate from Reichenbach as a regional feast for the eyes and palate for guests, here is an excerpt from the hotel restaurant. The hotel also has the exclusive PAVO – the highest starred restaurant in Germany!
The hand-turned custom-made product in deep blue from our company fits in with the color scheme of the hotel and, of course, the landscape of the numerous lakes around the Falkenstein and in the Zugspitz region.
Simon and Annett are beaming because, unfortunately, the sun isn’t shining at the end of July. The young chef runs a first-class restaurant here on the Falkenstein in the family hotel. In his first cookbook, GIPFELGENUSS, he writes “My parents have passed on a place to me that I not only want to protect, but also make even more beautiful”. And you can feel this on every square meter of this estate in a fantastic location. Here, family history is told and continued in a loving tradition.
These are just some of the delicacies from Simon’s first cookbook GIPFELGENUSS, in which he presents many of his dishes on our plates. We think it’s simply brilliant! It definitely makes you want to cook it again, or – if that’s not your thing – take a detour to the PAVO restaurant on the Falkenstein. Please pass on our best wishes from the people of Reichenbach –>Thank you 🙂 And we are happy to advertise this: you can purchase the cookbook at Kochbuch SHOP | Das Burghotel Falkenstein (burghotel-falkenstein.de). It is also available as a gift set together with a small or large delicacy.
